Our History

In the fall of 1997, a small group of believers who had been meeting in a home Bible study began meeting for Sunday worship in a school gymnasium. They had a vision to become a Foursquare Church in South Tulsa. Early in the process, they contacted the District Supervisor about their desire and learned that intercessory prayer for such a church had been going on for seven years. The church was approved quickly, elders were appointed, and it began to operate as a mission church under the District Supervisor. One year later the church was able to purchase a church building on South Memorial Avenue. The church is now an officially chartered Foursquare Church beginning to reach out to the community.

What are the factors that make us unique as a church?

1. A dynamic church. Our vitality and power come from the dynamic work of the Holy Spirit empowering and enabling us to live and serve in supernatural power.
2. A teaching church. We understand that there is no substitute for knowing the essential truth of God's Word foundational for the life of the church and believer.
3. A compassionate church. Our passion is to reach out to those in need with love and service that is sincere and practical.
4. A praying church. We believe that our church will never rise above the level of our prayer; therefore, prayer is central to all worship, fellowship, and service.
5. A serving church. We affirm that every believer shares the responsibility of the Great Commission to serve the Lord in reaching out to a world in need.

Located on Memorial Avenue near Woodland Hills Mall, the property was originally developed over two decades ago as a church serving the needs of the South Tulsa community.

The facility includes a building of over 20,000 square feet, a beautifully designed sanctuary seating 300, a fellowship hall, multi-purpose auditorium, and 20 classrooms, including a nursery. There is also a three bedroom parsonage on the property.

Through special arrangements with the seller, all funds used for purchase are being donated to a mission orphanage in Mexico.

We are grateful to be a part of a movement that began with a historic outpouring of the Holy Spirit and took place at the turn of the century at the Azusa revival. This dynamic world-wide movement produced many powerful and significant churches and denominations, including the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel of which we are a part. The distinctives of our movement emphasize the central role of Christ as Savior, Baptizer, Healer, and Coming King and a balanced interdenominational vision for reaching the whole world with the gospel of peace.

As a part of the Foursquare Gospel Church, we support one of the strongest foreign missions programs in the world. These programs work in 147 countries worldwide.

Our members have an important role in governing the church. In all respects, we remain accountable to the proper authorities of the church.

1. To celebrate the presence of God through worship in Spirit and Truth.
2. To communicate the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in need.
3. To cultivate believers to spiritual maturity in Christ.
4. To care for the needs of others regarding their spiritual, mental, physical, and social needs.
